Junior Lego club is for children in PreK 4 and Kindergarten.  The club is a fun way to interact with peers, problem solve, explore and build. Legos provide an open-ended opportunity for the children to create and engineer a wide variety of structures and designs. Each week takes on a different challenge in exploring with Legos.

Our first week of Lego club was exciting as we explored ways to build sound structures that would withstand a drop test of 4 feet. Math concepts are reviewed and practiced in “building the tallest tower game”. The children pair up with a partner and role the dice to see how many Legos they will get to use on each turn to build their tower. Of course, free building is also enjoyed by all to experiment with what they can make from their own imagination. Sharing their creations gets them talking to new friends and being open to hearing suggestions from others.
