St. Gregory the Great Catholic School provides a rigorous academic curriculum that prepares our students for high school, college, and career readiness. The curriculum is aligned with Church doctrine, Archdiocesan standards and State and National standards. St. Gregory the Great Catholic School and the Archdiocese of San Antonio curriculum standards have clearly articulated, rigorous and College and Career Readiness objectives that are infused with Gospel values, implemented through instructional best practices, and enhanced by effective and ethical use of technology. 

Curriculum Highlights:

  • Core Classes: Religion, Math, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, Literature, and Spanish
  • Advanced Math classes offered to 6th - 8th grade students
  • Advanced Literature classes offered to 8th grade students
  • Pre-Algebra and Algebra classes offered on campus
  • Academic testing includes: Catholic High School Placement Test, PSAT, IOWA Testing and ACRE testing
  • Eight period rotation schedule
  • Integrated technology throughout all classes
  • Faith Formation and yearly spiritual retreats
  • Educational field trips 
  • Elective classes: Drumline, Game Design, Web Design, Art & Art History, Beginning/Advanced Drawing, Home Economics, Athletics (all sports by season), PE, Yoga, & Health
