Student Council
St. Gregory the Great Student Council
The Student Council is an organization whose members are elected by 4th through 8th grade homerooms. Officers are elected in May for the following school year. Officers must be in the Upper Unit. The purpose of the Student Council is to represent the students of St. Gregory the Great Catholic School, promote the welfare of the student body, promote better student-teacher relationships, foster citizenship training, develop interest in civic affairs through school spirit, and encourage better discipline. The Student Council raises and lowers the United States and Texas flags daily. We assist with liturgies and prayer services and work with the NJHS to host the St. Agnes Christmas Party. Other projects include Pep Rallies, Red Ribbon Week, Career Day, a dance and any other events that give us the opportunity to enhance the St. Gregory experience for the school community.
